Sarah Todd enjoys collaborating with collectors and designers to create stunning custom works of art that are both personal and perfect for homes, offices or commercial spaces.
Commissioning a painting is a great way to meet the creative elements you desire in a work of art. If you have multiple spaces that you’d like to showcase Sarah’s work, she creates statement pieces that individually speak for their own, whilst still complementing each other and their surroundings. Whether you are in the building stage of your home/office, remodeling, redecorating, or simply have been waiting for the perfect piece of art for your space, commissioning a painting is a great way to meet the creative elements you desire in a work of art.
CONSULTATION: Whether your home is simply incomplete without the perfect art piece, you are remodeling, redecorating or building,
consultations are essential to ensure you have the best art for your space. During the consultation Sarah hears the collector’s
expectations and after looking at the space she then designs the perfect piece for the space depending on colors, composition, and size
that best fit the collector’s style and space. The consultation can be in person (if in the DFW area) or through FaceTime.
RENDERING: Leave the guesswork out! Visualize what a painting would look like in your space and your different options
through a rendering. Renderings are complementary and can be done before or during the consultation.
APPROVAL PROCESS: As the painting progresses Sarah sends photos and videos at a couple different stages so that
collector can make changes if they feel necessary. For example: critique color quantity, movement, amounts of gold leaf etc. This ensures that
the painting is exactly what the collector wants and there are no surprises! If the collector prefers, the viewings can also be in person at her studio.
DELIVERY: After the painting is complete, Sarah delivers the painting (if you are in the DFW area). If you are not in the DFW area then
Sarah carefully packs, insures and ships the art to your home (a shipping estimate will be given during the consultation process).
INSTALL: If you are in the DFW Sarah will deliver your art with a professional fine art installer to
display your commission. If you are not in the DFW area Sarah will advise the collector
on the best way to install your art in your space.
A 50% deposit is required to get on Sarah’s commission schedule.
The collector previews the commission near completion for final approval.
The remaining 50% is due upon completion.
